How to Size Your Sport ID Band
If you’ve recently purchased a Sport ID band and need help adjusting it to fit your wrist, follow these simple steps to ensure a perfect fit. The band comes in a standard large size and is designed to be cut to fit different wrist sizes.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Measure Your Wrist Wrap the band around your wrist and mark the spot where the band overlaps the closed end of the clasp. (Refer to Picture 1 in the guide.)
- Cut the Band Lay the band upside down on a flat surface. Make a straight cut along the groove next to the marked spot. (See Picture 2 for reference.)
- Attach the Band to the Clasp
- Turn the band back over and locate the tooth clamp inside the clasp.
- Use a small pointed object (like an eyeglass screwdriver or butter knife) to pry the clamp open.
- Slide the end of the band into the slot and press down firmly to close the clamp. (Refer to Picture 3.)
- Ensure the band is not inserted too far, as this may obstruct the clamp from closing properly. If it doesn’t close, adjust the band slightly and try again. You should hear a slight click when the clamp locks in place.
- Release the Clasp Turn the band over, lift the safety latch, and press the two buttons on the side of the clasp to release it. (See Picture 4.)
- Test the Fit Slide the band onto your wrist, fold the clasp closed, and engage the safety latch. (Refer to Pictures 5 and 6.) If the band feels too loose, repeat the steps above, removing only a few segments at a time to avoid overcutting.
